Timing for preparing for a counteroffensive

“This is a question for at least a month. The arrival of weapons from the West will also take from 2 to 4 weeks. Then we will get the end of September (probably the start of the counteroffensive – 24 channel)”, said the military expert.
At the same time, the military expert suggested that shock groups for the counteroffensive can be ready now. However, this information is not publicly announced.
Where the Armed Forces of Ukraine can launch a counteroffensive
According to Zhdanov, it is difficult to name the main direction of the counteroffensive, because now we are not we know exactly where which grouping of enemy troops is from Russia.
It would be appropriate to strengthen our troops in the East, in particular in the Donetsk region. Fierce defensive battles are still going on there. This is the only direction where the enemy is still trying to carry out offensive assault actions on our positions. – said the military expert.
He added that there is information that Russia is transferring the 3rd reserve tank corps to Ukraine.
“Most likely, it will appear in the Donetsk direction. After all, this (capture of Donbass – Channel 24) is the main political task that Putin set for the Russian troops,” Zhdanov said.
Why the US is slow to provide aircraft to Ukraine
Aviation could significantly help the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the counteroffensive. In particular, the United States is considering the possibility of supplying combat aircraft to Ukraine. However, as the Pentagon noted, this process could take years.
According to Zhdanov, one of the main problems is that the training of combat pilots takes a lot of time.
Pilot training lasts 3 months. But this is only the practice of takeoff and landing. And combat piloting is at least six months. Therefore, the minimum training of a pilot lasts at least 9 months,” the military expert said.
He added that this is why the United States is talking about providing aircraft to Ukraine as a short-term prospect. However, it is difficult to say when this will happen.
