Stupak predicted whether Russia would have enough strength to attack in Donbas/Collage of Channel 24
The Ukrainian military reliably hold the defense in the Donbass. This seriously exhausts the Russian invaders: it will take them months to even try to capture the major cities of the region.
This was told by a former member of the Security Service of Ukraine and an expert of the Ukrainian Institute for the Future Ivan Stupak on Channel 24 . He assessed the prospects for the Russian offensive in the Donbass. In short, occupiers have problems because of the heroic defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Ukrainian military use interesting tactics
Now the Russians have concentrated all their efforts to completely seize the territory of the Lugansk region. And then they want to transfer everything to the Donetsk region. The plans are formidable, but the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are heroically defending the entire territory of Donbass. And the infidels started having problems.
Three months have passed since the start of a full-scale invasion, and the so-called “second army of the world” still cannot completely capture Severodonetsk. At this rate, they will literally spend months on every major city in the Lugansk and Donetsk regions.
According to Ivan Stupak, The Ukrainian military has chosen an effective tactic – to deplete the infidels in the Luhansk direction as much as possible. They constantly advance past the corpses of their own soldiers. And this, of course, is seriously demoralizing. Yes, and regular unsuccessful attacks also reduce morale.
Whether in this case they have enough strength for the Donetsk region is an interesting question. After all, both Slavyansk and Kramatorsk and other settlements of the region greatly strengthened during the 8 years of the war with Russia.
They are now advancing on Severodonetsk. But there is still Kramatorsk, Slavyansk and many other cities. After 8-9 years, these cities were very strongly fortified. These are serious defense structures, Ivan Stupak emphasized.
Other “surprises” await the invaders in Donbas
Recently, representatives of British intelligence noted that in order to achieve success in Donbas, the invaders will need to force rivers, in particular the Seversky Donets. This may affect the further course of the war.
According to Ivan Stupak, the main danger when forcing rivers is that you can get under fire from artillery. And the armed forces of Ukraine already have experience in destroying Russians at such crossings.
Occupiers repeatedly “burned” in such operations – both in the Winter War of 1939-1940 and in Ukraine. For example, only in Belogorovka during the crossing, the Armed Forces of Ukraine sent at least 400 invaders to the grave.
