About this on the air of Channel 24told the adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs Rostislav Smirnov. He believes that now Ukraine has enough resources that carry out a certain counteroffensive, and in some areas our defenders are already doing this.
Smirnov noted that the concentration of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the counteroffensive in the South and readiness for it is not a secret . Ukraine is gradually getting the necessary equipment and forming a worthy arsenal. So, on July 26, we received several more multiple launch rocket systems from Germany, and a lot of other equipment is on the way, including 4 more HIMARS systems.
In addition to weapons, Ukraine has a large number of highly motivated mobilized people, which cannot be said about the demoralized Russian military. Consequently, the adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs supports the opinion: “There are more and more of us, less and less of them.”
We had the only problem that we talked about a few months ago – who to fight, but there was nothing. Now we already have this “what,” Smirnov stated.
This is well indicated by more than 50 destroyed enemy ammunition depots, to which should be added command posts, barracks, separate equipment, etc.
How the Armed Forces of Ukraine are preparing for a counteroffensive
“In fact, this is a fairly large resource and we are preparing. We must understand that the destruction of these ammunition depots is our the first steps towards the preparation, cleansing, reconquest, liberation of the South of our country,” Smirnov explained.
Thus, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are destroying the rear capabilities of the enemy, because many of the destroyed military facilities of the occupiers were located precisely in the Kherson region – in the regional center, Chernobaevka, Nova Kakhovka and other places. According to the minister's adviser, this is the first part of preparations for the counteroffensive.
The second component is targeted and accurate shelling of two bridges: Antonovsky and the bridge near Ingulets. The main task of our defenders is to destroy these bridges. If this is not done, then, firstly, the situation will be more difficult for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and secondly, the enemy will still mine them and destroy them on their own when they retreat.
Powerful strike of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Antonovsky Bridge Kherson: briefly
- On the evening of July 26, it became known that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had attacked an extremely important strategic object – the Antonovsky Bridge. On the morning of July 27, this was confirmed by a representative of the Southern Defense Forces, Natalya Gumenyuk.
- Local residents reported extremely loud and powerful explosions. They assumed that after this there would be nothing left of the bridge.
- The Stratcom of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has already shown how the Antonovsky bridge looks after the impact – it is in large holes, the roadway is completely broken.
