Mom, it's me! The first calls from soldiers released from captivity moved me to tears

Dmitry Lubinets showed a video where seriously ill soldiers, who were returned from Russian captivity, today, June 20, call their relatives, having just set foot on Ukrainian soil.

Lubinets published the corresponding videos on his Telegram channel.

As Dmitry Lubinets noted, the majority of those returned were defenders of Mariupol.

The released defenders were immediately given telephones to contact their relatives.

“I'm alive. A little wounded, but it will heal. But I have memory,” said one of the freed heroes.

Tears, sincere hugs and the slogan Glory to Ukraine were heard from the lips of the former prisoners.

Some of them spent more than two years in captivity. The oldest one to be released was 60 years old.

“Mom, mom, it's me! I'm already saying this,” the soldier addressed his mother.

The woman didn't even believe that she really heard her son's voice. That he would soon be home.

Let us recall that all the defenders released today are soldiers and sergeants.

They have injuries or serious medical diagnoses: epilepsy, hypertension, coronary heart disease, vision problems, diseases of the musculoskeletal system, hernias, chronic diseases of the digestive system.

Many of those released have been diagnosed with weight loss.

The Coordination Headquarters noted that the exact number of those released will be announced after all stages of the exchange are completed.
