The Ministry of Internal Affairs commented on the issues of unrecognized Transnistria/Collage 24 channel
Moldovan President Maia Sandu arrived in Kyiv on June 27. The Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that against the backdrop of Russian threats, Moldova may ask us for help with the unrecognized Pridnestrovie.
The fact is that they actually do not have a combat-ready army. Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs Vadim Denisenko told Channel 24 about this.
According to him, therefore, in this case, the arrival of Maia Sandu is more of a political gesture. It consists in the fact that Moldova must make up its mind and not just say that after being a candidate for the EU, they join the anti-Russian sanctions.
And certain things were said in a rather articulate way about Transnistria occupied by Russia. This became clear after President Volodymyr Zelensky said that he believes Russia is spreading information about threats to Ukraine's security from the occupied Moldovan territory of Transnistria. However, he assured that if they are implemented, Ukraine will react accordingly.
In case of provocations from Transnistria, Moldova can give us a certain right to try to resolve this issue with the political support of Moldova. Denisenko said.
In addition, a number of Moldova plans to allow the introduction of foreign troops into the country, as Ukraine did in 2014. The corresponding bill is already under development.

Moldova plans to join anti-Russian sanctions
Speaker of the Parliament Igor Grosu said that Moldova will support sanctions against Russia, which the EU wants to extend.
According to him, a country with the status of an EU candidate should show solidarity with European states.
Medvedev threatened Moldova
On June 25, the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council “congratulated” Moldova on obtaining the status of a candidate for EU membership. He declared that the independent state would enter the EU not on its own, but as part of a “new great Romania.” At the same time, according to him, in this case, Moscow will have to intervene in order to “save” the inhabitants of the unrecognized Transnistria. He stressed that 220,000 Russians now live there.
