Amid delays in Western aid, in the spring of 2024, Russia launched its offensive operation. However, the occupiers were never able to achieve their most ambitious goals and would soon lose dominance.

The Telegraph writes that during this time nothing happened a grandiose Russian breakthrough, nor a general collapse of the Ukrainian front line. At the same time, over the past month, a record number of citizens have been mobilized in Ukraine.

Russia's summer offensive is failing, no breakthrough has occurred

The most pessimistic forecasts for Ukraine for this summer were based on the critical Ukrainian shortage of people, shells and prepared defensive positions. These problems began to be resolved, in particular, in April Zelensky signed the law on mobilization.

The indicated figures are secret, but sources familiar with this question, they said that in a month several times more troops had been assembled than before. In the coming months, they will begin to arrive en masse at the front, the publication writes.

Also in April, the US Congress approved a package of military assistance, which happened shortly before the attack on the Kharkov region. As a result, the occupiers' advantage in ammunition decreased, but was not eliminated. F-16 fighter jets are expected to appear this summer.

So we can expect that Russia's dominance on the battlefield will most likely be destroyed in the winter. Moscow has its own problems, in particular, a reduction in armored vehicles. The Russians also increased payments for volunteers, which indicates problems with recruitment.
