The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the pseudo-elections of the President of the Russian Federation

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine called Moscow’s intentions to hold pseudo-elections of the President of the Russian Federation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine insignificant. The international community should not send observers to them.

The department recalled the Kremlin’s plans to organize the so-called voting in the occupied territories of Ukraine. We are talking about Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, parts of Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.

Umerov about plans for 2024 on the Black Sea

Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said that Ukraine is preparing developments for 2024 that will help force the Russians to leave the temporarily occupied Crimea forever.

The head of the Ministry of Defense was asked whether there was talk in Washington about “cleaning” The Black Sea from the Russian presence, and about technologies that would help fight Kalibr missile carriers (except for Ukrainian naval drones, which have already shown good results).

— We showed the whole world that we can achieve success. Despite the fact that we do not have such a powerful fleet, we forced Russia to withdraw from the temporarily occupied Crimea. And the developments that we are preparing for 2024 will give us good opportunities for them to leave our Crimea forever, — Umerov noted in response, without voicing details.

Germany is preparing for long-term support for Ukraine

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz does not expect the war in Ukraine to end quickly. He called on Berlin for long-term support for Kyiv, because Russian dictator Vladimir Putin hopes that the West will retreat.

According to him, it is important that Germany was able to support Ukraine for a long time.

He emphasized that by carrying out a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Russia had abrogated all peace and security agreements in Europe.
