According to the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, Russian troops launched missiles, probably Kh-59, from a tactical aircraft in the Odessa region.
Air defense forces destroyed three missiles. But as a result of falling debris, fires broke out, which were extinguished.
As a result of the attack in the Odessa region, eight people were injured, including two children — three and four years old.
According to the OVA, an 80-year-old resident of one of the houses was hospitalized with a fatal head wound. Also in the hospital is the youngest victim (a three-year-old boy) with shrapnel wounds.
According to information from the Odessa Regional Fire Department, fires broke out in the private sector and residential buildings were destroyed. Rescuers and utility workers continue to clean up the aftermath of the attack.
Before the missile strike in Odessa, the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces warned that the movement of a guided aircraft missile from the Black Sea had been detected.
