“Mishka” will try to win back – Klimkin on the success of the Crimean platform

Once again, Ukraine is holding a meeting of world leaders as part of the Crimean Platform. This year it was radically different from last year's meeting.

This Channel 24 was told by the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin. He also noted that he did not like the previous meeting, because many famous world leaders – France, Italy, Germany, they disappeared and decided to “wind through”.

This year was a completely different story, not because someone from Latin America or Africa visited the Crimean Platform. The fact is that all Western leaders were present, and most importantly, they all spoke almost direct language, definitely not diplomatic, Klimkin noted.

“It is also worth noting that the Crimean Platform took place against the backdrop of what is happening in the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea. It was against the backdrop of a video of explosions in Crimea that world leaders were able to find the right words,” says Pavel Klimkin.

I really liked it – the West began to change tactics, it realized that this principle “don't move the bear ” – does not work and you need to “touch” it.

Why the “Crimean Platform” of 2022 was successful

According to him, our enemy should not be underestimated and should not be feared. “Again, I really like that Western leaders have partially stopped being afraid of this regime and Putin,” the ex-minister of foreign affairs is convinced.

“He will try to recoup both in the South and in the East. We need to demonstrate sustainability – both in society and in the economy,” sums up Pavel Klimkin.
