Minus the enemy's bridge in the Kursk region: what goal are the Ukrainian Armed Forces pursuing Melania Golembyovskaya

The Russian occupiers in Kursk region were “hot” today, September 8, now they have minus one bridge in the area of the settlement of Karyzha. The destruction of bridges in Kursk region is an important strategy.

The head of the Center for Military and Legal Research Alexander Musienko told Channel about this, noting that the Ukrainian military has the goal of squeezing the occupiers. Destroying bridges does not require many resources and is effective.

What is the goal of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region by destroying bridges?

About three weeks ago, another bridge was destroyed in the Kursk region in the Glushkovo area, and another one still stands in the area of the Zvannoye settlement.

According to the head of the Center, sometimes things that seem obvious take time to implement. In this case, this is exactly the case with the bridges.

The bridges in Kursk region are important, because they play a big role for the Russian group there.

The occupiers in the Glushkovsky district took up defensive positions, so a decision was made to finally block them and make it impossible for Russians to stay there, Musienko explained.

The goal is to pin the enemy, according to the head of the Center, this is an absolutely correct Ukrainian strategy. Thus, the Ukrainian military will not spend more effort, money and resources than it would need, using the features of natural obstacles in this direction.

Note, OSINT analyst, military observer Vitaly Kononuchenko believes that the destruction of bridges is carried out so that the enemy cannot carry out rotation and set up logistics. As a result, he will be forced to leave there himself.

It is worth noting that there were certain moments when Russia abandoned a significant number of regional crossings. The Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed them, but the occupiers tried to pull them back.

Musienko said that Ukraine's goal in Kursk region is territories in the form of a buffer zone and replenishment of the exchange fund.

The more Russia loses territory, the worse it is for it, in the perception of Russians. For the occupiers, territory is important. Therefore, the more they do not control the territory, the better, – the head of the Center noted.
