Military personnel will be compensated for unused vacation days: Zelensky signed the law

by alex

On Tuesday, July 1, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law that will allow Ukrainian military personnel who have not used all of their vacation days to receive monetary compensation if they are dismissed from service.

This is stated in a message published on the Verkhovna Rada Telegram channel.

Vacation compensation – what is it all about?

It should be noted that Ukrainian soldiers have the right to 30 days of annual leave during martial law. However, it is not always possible to use all the days on time, given the combat situation, the shortage of personnel in the units and other individual reasons for the military.

At the same time, it is impossible to simply transfer these days to the next year.

– In the event of the death of a serviceman, compensation will be received by the persons specified in his order. If there are none, the funds will be inherited, – the statement says.

These rules will come into force one month from the day following the official publication of the law.
