As reported by The Athletic, in December 2024, Mudryk was informed of the failed doping test he took in November.
Then, the banned substance meldonium was found in his A sample. As a result, the Ukrainian athlete was suspended from working with the team.

According to the publication, sample B has now confirmed a positive test result for the banned substance meldonium.
Mudryk could face a maximum disqualification period of up to four years due to the anti-doping rule violation.
It is noted that such a term may be provided that mitigating circumstances are not taken into account, which would allow the suspension to be reduced from two years to one month.
Recently, the Football Association of England brought official charges against Mikhail Mudryk.
In total, Mudrik played 15 matches for Chelsea in all competitions in the 2024/25 season, scoring three goals and providing five assists.
