American actor Michael Madsen, known for his raspy voice and roles as brutal villains in Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill: Part 2, died on the morning of July 3 from cardiac arrest.
His manager Ron Smith reported this, NBC News reports.

The actor's other notable film roles include The Doors, Thelma & Louise, and Donnie Brasco. Tarantino also cast Madsen in ensemble casts in the bloody Western The Hateful Eight and the 1969-set Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
In addition to film and television, Madsen has voiced characters in video games, including Grand Theft Auto III, the Dishonored series, and Crime Boss: Rockay City. He has also published poetry collections and taken up photography.
Over a career spanning more than 40 years, Madsen has played dozens of screen roles, but he is best remembered for his collaborations with Tarantino, playing a psychotic robber in Reservoir Dogs and a former hitman in Kill Bill: Part 2.
Reservoir Dogs, one of the cult independent films of the 1990s, shocked audiences with its graphic violence, including a scene in which Madsen's character, Mr. Blonde, cuts off a police officer's ear while listening to the song “Stuck in the Middle With You.”
