On the night of September 10, in the center of Kyiv near St. Michael's Cathedral, three unknown men beat up a clergyman — Metropolitan of Crimea and Simferopol Clement.
Attack on Metropolitan Clement in Kyiv
According to the National Police, law enforcement officers are checking the information published on social networks that unknown persons near St. Michael's Cathedral attacked a representative of the church, who is also a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
An investigative task force has arrived at the scene. The police are talking to the victim and finding out all the circumstances of the attack.

The police are not naming names, but they are talking about Metropolitan of Crimea and Simferopol of the OCU Clement.
Representative of the Regional Council of Ukrainians of Crimea Andrey Shchekun in a commentary to Suspilny said that, according to information received from Metropolitan Clement himself, the attack occurred at about 23:00, when he was heading to his cell in the Mikhailovsky Monastery.
He says that three unknown people asked him for a blessing and immediately began beat.
Metropolitan Clement believes that the attack was carefully planned, since he was attacked in a place where there are no surveillance cameras.
At the time of the attack, Clement was in Kiev at the invitation of the Crimean Platform.
