The Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office on January 3 received a new head. They became Maxim Krym, who had previously been the deputy of the previous head of Alexei Khomenko.
The new head of the staff of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office was introduced by Prosecutor General Andrei Kostin. He noted that Crimea has sufficient experience, knowledge and strong-willed qualities to carry out the assigned tasks.

Kostin noted that the new head of the Kyiv regional prosecutor's office is a professional, demanding both to himself and to his subordinates. He also focused on the priority tasks for Crimea and priority areas – documenting and investigating Russian war crimes.
Only the well-coordinated work of law enforcement agencies and prosecutors will give the necessary result – bringing to justice all those responsible for the terrible international crimes committed by the invaders in the territory of the Kiev region, – said the Prosecutor General.
According to him, special attention should be paid to combating crimes against the foundations of national security.
“This is what society expects from us in the first place,” Kostin stressed.

What is known about Maxim Krym
- Maxim Krym was born in 1988. He graduated from the National Law Academy named after Yaroslav the Wise.
- Crimea began working in the prosecutor's office in 2010.
- He held positions at all levels – from an investigator to the first deputy head of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the military and defense sphere of the Central Region.
- Since November 2020, Crimea has served as Deputy Head of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
- In 2015, the President awarded him the Medal for Impeccable Service, III degree.
- In addition, in 2018, Crimea was awarded an honorable mention by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine – the medal “For Strengthening Defense Capability”.
