The Russian occupiers are not abandoning their offensive attempts in the East and are taking measures to strengthen their positions. In addition, the invaders carried out a number of rocket and artillery attacks on settlements in the North and East of Ukraine.
The current situation at the front as of the morning of May 22 was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Ukrainian defenders continue to give a heroic rebuff to the invaders.
The situation in the West and North
In the Volyn and Polesye directions Belarusian troops have stepped up reconnaissance, for which additional electronic intelligence equipment has been deployed in the border areas of Belarus. The threat of missile strikes from this area remains.
Yesterday, infidels launched a missile attack on a military facility in the Rivne region, because of which 6 people were injured. Therefore, the head of the OVA, Vitaliy Koval, called on the inhabitants of the region to refrain from mass measures for a day because of the threat of repeated attacks.
It is not calm in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions either. In the Seversky direction the Russians shelled the settlements of Boyaro-Lezhachi, Ulica, Bunyakino, Gorki, Gremyach and Muravyi. The invaders placed Iskander-M launchers on the territory of the Belgorod region.
The situation in the East
In the Slobozhansky direction Russian infidels are fighting to prevent our soldiers from reaching the state border with Russia in the Kharkiv region.
In the Slavic direction the invaders are preparing for the offensive. Vernopolye, Dubrovnoye and Dovgenkoe were subjected to artillery attacks by the enemy.
In the direction of Donetsk, Russian invaders are trying to break through the defenses of the Ukrainian troops in order to reach the administrative borders of the Luhansk region. in the area of Vrubovka and Bakhmut, the Russians launched airstrikes on civilian infrastructure.
On the Liman direction, despite the absence of active hostilities, the invaders attacked the infrastructure of Liman, Ozerny, Zakotny, Dibrova and Serebryanka.
In the Severodonetsk directionRussian infidels along the entire line of confrontation are attacking the positions of Ukrainian soldiers using mortars and cannon artillery. The enemy concentrated his efforts on Severodonetsk and Lisichansk. In addition, the infidels carried out unsuccessful assault actions in the areas of Oskolonovka, Purdovka, Shchedrishchevo and Smolyaninov. The infidels were forced to retreat to their old positions.
The fighting continues in the Bakhmut direction. The Russians, with the help of artillery, are trying to improve their tactical position in the areas of Trypillya, Lipovoye and Vasilyevka.
In the Avdeevka direction Russian infidels suffered losses in the area of Krasnogorovka.
< strong>On the Kurakhovsky directionour defenders and defenders repelled assault actions in the direction of Maryinka. in addition, the enemy shelled Novomikhailovka and Vladimirovka and launched rocket attacks on Nikolskoye and Yekaterinovka.
The situation in the South
In Novopavlovsk and Zaporizhzhya directions Russians are trying to gain a foothold on the occupied lines and fire at the positions of our soldiers and the infrastructure of the region. So at night the infidels launched a missile attack on the civilian infrastructure of one of the villages in the Volnyansk region in the Zaporozhye region. According to preliminary data, there are victims.
In the South Buzh direction infidels do not conduct active hostilities. They focused their efforts on equipping positions and maintaining occupied lines.
