Russian invaders fired rockets and kamikaze drones into Ukraine on the afternoon of October 19. Our defenders managed to shoot them down.
Our forces managed to shoot down 4 out of 6 cruise missiles and 10 martyrs. This was reported in the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
How air defense destroyed missiles and martyrs
At 12.05 on October 19, the enemy attacked Ukraine from the north-east with strategic aviation. Tu-95 and Tu-160 bombers fired 6 X-101/X-555 cruise missiles.
One missile was destroyed by fighter aircraft, one by an anti-aircraft missile unit in the area of responsibility of the Center Air Command in the Kiev region and Vinnitsa region.
Two more missiles were shot down by the air defense of the Ground Forces in the Chernihiv region.
Simultaneously with the rocket attack, the invaders attacked Ukraine with Shahed-136 kamikaze drones from the north, including from the territory of Belarus. As of 15:30, 10 loitering munitions were destroyed by the anti-aircraft defense of the Center Air Command Air Force.
Ukrainian air defense shot down two missiles over Chernihiv region
< p> OK “Sever” reported that the Defense Forces of the Chernihiv region shot down two missiles on October 19th. This happened over the village of Kipti.
As the command emphasized, the defenders of Ukraine are always on guard.
Air defense shot down 12 air targets
On October 19, the Center Air Command reported that air defense systems had eliminated 12 enemy targets. It should be noted that the armed forces of Ukraine hold the defense of the sky and every day bring closer the victory of our state in this war.
