On September 24, the national action “Mariupol is Ukraine” was held in the cities of Ukraine. IDPs gathered to protest the pseudo-referendum organized by Russian infidels.

One of these actions took place in Kyiv. This was reported by 24 channel journalists from the scene.
Citizens of Mariupol, who were forced to leave their parental homes by the Russian army, gathered with banners and Ukrainian symbols. People of all ages came to the action. There were small children, teenagers, elderly people. Some even took their pets, who also became victims of Russian aggression.

The Mariupol City Council noted that the majority of the population, which is almost 200 thousand people, left for the free territory of Ukraine. However, Ukrainians still remain in the occupied city, who have become hostages of the Russian occupiers. They are waiting for the de-occupation, but they cannot go to protests because of the mortal danger.
Therefore, the people of Mariupol come out to support the Mariupol resistance and say loudly: “Mariupol is Ukraine! So it was, is and will be!”, – noted the mayor's office.

What is known about the so-called “referendum” in Mariupol
On September 23, Mariupol celebrates City Day every year. However, this year the city of Mary has been reduced to rubble by Russia. The invaders walked the streets of Mariupol all day to force people to “vote in the referendum” the way they want.
Adviser to the mayor, Petr Andryushchenko, said that the Russians even visited the homes of local residents. At the same time, they had weapons in their hands. The photo from the scene shows that people sign the forms almost “on their knees”.
