Aleksey Arestovchi said that Mariupol should hold out as long as possible. There will be more chances to find a way to save the city from Russian invaders.
Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President Alexei Arestovich, in a conversation with Russian human rights activist Mark Feigin, commented on the situation with the defense of Mariupol and the return of control over it by the Ukrainians.

The city of Mariupol should hold out as long as possible
Mariupol should hold out longer, just physically stand, – said Arestovich.
He explained, that every second that the city holds allows us to look for the quality of a solution to save it.
Also, the adviser to the head of the Presidential Office emphasized that those who think that the authorities have abandoned Mariupol and do not carry out international work to find levers of influence on Vladimir Putin to change the situation.
Arestovich noted the important function of Mariupol in pulling back Russian troops that might otherwise go in other directions across Ukraine.
Therefore, he summed up, what is the city now one task is to hold on and strike back at the Russians. The defenders of the city are doing very well. Arestovich called the work of the Azov fighters brilliant, and the soldiers themselves – top-class professionals.
