Indestructible and invincible Mariupol: the Ukrainian flag flies over Azovstal/Collage of Channel 24
Azovstal is still flying the flag of Ukraine. The defenders of Mariupol continue to fight against the Russian invaders.
The corresponding video was published in the Mariupol City Council. The Russian invaders failed to occupy the territory of the plant, even though they broke through there.
A symbol of the inflexibility of the Ukrainian people
Despite the heavy fighting, the Ukrainian defenders adequately hold the defense. It is not easy for them, but they are still holding on.
Azovstal. A true symbol of the invincibility of the Ukrainian people. Azovstal is people. Strong and free, tired but not conquered. Azovstal is Ukraine, – the Mariupol City Council notes.

There may be civilians in the littered bunkers of Azovstal
According to the soldier from the Azov regiment Maxim Zhorin, several collapsed bunkers at Azovstal there may still be people . The Russians are shelling the plant so often that it is almost impossible to make out the rubble. A ceasefire is needed.
The fact is that there are several collapsed bomb shelters that, due to constant shelling, cannot be unlocked and checked how many living people were left there and how many there were in general. Therefore, now we cannot say exactly how many people are left on the territory of the Azovstal plant,” Zhorin emphasized.
According to the military, the world is reacting very feebly to the situation in Mariupol. It seems that they do not understand that the Russians are literally committing genocide in the city – they have already killed thousands of Ukrainians there.
The head of the Donetsk OVA, Pavel Kirilenko, noted that there were more than 100 civilians on the territory of Azovstal. In general, there are up to 100,000 people in Mariupol.
The situation at Azovstal is complicated
On April 26, Putin managed to agree on the evacuation of civilians from Azovstal. The first wave occurred on May 1, followed by several more such operations. In total, about 600 people were saved.
Russian invaders did not observe the regime of silence. For example, on May 6, they fired at an evacuation vehicle from an anti-tank missile system, in which they were supposed to take out civilians. Then 1 soldier was killed, 6 more were injured. Subsequently, they dropped two bombs from drones – two more soldiers were killed. Ukrainian defenders helped people evacuate.
On May 4, Russian invaders broke into the plant. Fierce battles are still going on.
Careful people have created a special petition calling to save the defenders of Mariupol. To date, she has collected more than 1 million signatures.
