The Armed Forces of Ukraine have been resisting the Russian invaders for 70 days. The enemy is most active in the Eastern Operational Zone.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine provided up-to-date information on the situation at the front as of the morning of May 4. The goal of the enemy remains the same – to establish full control over the Lugansk and Donetsk regions, as well as to keep the land corridor with the temporarily occupied Crimea.
The situation at the front in the main areas
On the eve of the enemy shelled many Ukrainian regions with rockets. The Russians struck at the Dnepropetrovsk region, Kirovograd, Lvov, Vinnitsa, Kyiv, Transcarpathian, Odessa and Donetsk regions.
Volyn and Polesye directions
Here the Russian troops did not conduct active operations. Signs of offensive groups of the enemy were not found. However, units of the Belarusian military continue to heavily guard the border of Belarus.
Also, one missile battalion from the 465th missile brigade of the armed forces of Belarus was moved from its location to its destination.
Severskoye direction
Here, too, there are no signs that the enemy has formed an offensive grouping. The units of the armed forces of the aggressor state were deployed at the checkpoints of the Bryansk region. We are talking about “New Yurkovychi”, “Pogar” and “Lomakovka”.
Slobozhanskoye direction
The enemy shelled Kharkov and the settlement of Protopopovka, using artillery and mortars. The enemy carried out aerial reconnaissance in the area of Kutuzovka and Aleksandrovka.
This is important! The Russians tried to launch an offensive in the direction of Dovgenkiy, but were unsuccessful.
Donetsk and Tauride directions
Russian troops constantly fired at Ukrainian units. In the Limansk direction, the enemy is advancing towards Shedrigolovy, fighting continues. Russia is reinforcing its forces here and is actively reconnoitering Ukrainian positions.
The assault operations in Popasna are also continuing. The Azovstal fortress in Mariupol did not give up either: the enemies are inflicting powerful airstrikes on the plant. In the direction of Zaporozhye, the enemy stormed Orekhov, but this was not successful.
The South Buzh direction
From the artillery of multiple launch rocket systems, the Russians are trying to destroy our fortification equipment. The enemy uses tanks along the line of demarcation. Hostilities near Tomina Balka have intensified significantly.
Bessarabian direction
The situation here is tense, but completely under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Successes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine per day
- The Air Force and the Ground Forces shot down 7 enemy drones and 8 cruise missiles per day.
- 12 enemy attacks were repulsed in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
- Our defenders destroyed 6 tanks, 5 artillery systems, 15 units of armored combat vehicles and 9 vehicles of the enemy.
- There are enemy losses in other directions as well.
