Police have detained a man who fired at volunteer Viktoria Dvoretskaya's car in Kyiv's Podolsk district on June 30. A notice of suspicion of hooliganism with the use of weapons is being prepared.
Shooting in Kyiv at the car of volunteer Dvoretskaya: what is known
The shooting incident occurred on the evening of June 30 in the Podolsk district of the capital near the Vinogradar market.
According to investigators from the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, a Kyiv resident, riding a bicycle, pulled out a pistol and while driving, shot from behind at a Ford car, in which volunteer Victoria Dvoretskaya and her son were located, and fled the scene.

The woman contacted law enforcement officers, explaining that she had not had any conflict with the man and therefore could not explain the reasons for his aggression.
Police officers quickly established the identity of the cyclist – he turned out to be a 46-year-old Kiev resident.
He said that another white car splashed him with water from a puddle. The indignant cyclist hit it with his hand and started to catch up with it. He caught up with the car, but not the right one, and shot at it.
The gunman's pistol was confiscated. The detainee is being prepared for a notice of suspicion under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (hooliganism committed with the use of a firearm or bladed weapon or other object specially adapted or prepared in advance to cause bodily harm).
He faces imprisonment for a term of 3 to 7 years.

Victoria Dvoretskaya herself shared on social media the horror she experienced when she and her son were returning home from the store.
— Passing the Vinogradar market, I noticed a cyclist hitting the glass of another car with his hand. And a minute or two later I heard a strange sound — I look in the rearview mirror and see a creature on a bicycle shooting at our car from an object similar to a weapon. I brake, ask the child to bend down and run out to him. Mama's gangster, apparently not expecting me to stop, runs away on a bicycle inside the market, — the woman says.
According to her, after inspecting the car, she saw a 15 cm hole from the car seat in which her son was sitting.
