Features of the Ukrainian maritime drone Magura 5
Magura 5 — a new Ukrainian maritime drone developed by Ukrainian engineers. It was presented by Spetstechnoexport during the International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF 2023).

Magura 5 is a multi-role V-class surface ship capable of performing a variety of missions:
- patrol;
- observation;
- reconnaissance;
- search and rescue;
- naval security;
- mine warfare;
- combat missions.
The hydrodynamic body and sleek profile allow the maritime drone to move stealthily with superior maneuverability. For communication, wireless networks with an airborne repeater (mesh radio) or satellite are used.
Marine drone equipped with:
- autopilot system;
- video subsystems, including night vision;
- redundant communication modules;
- warhead.
In addition, it includes a ground autonomous control station, a data processing center, a transportation and storage system.

- range – 450 nautical miles (approximately 833 km);

How the Magura 5
drone is used
The Ukrainian military is successfully using the Magura 5 maritime drone in combat conditions.
On February 1, 2024, six Magura 5 drones attacked the Russian missile boat Ivanovets. As a result of the attack, the boat sank.
February 14, 2024, off the Crimean coast, the landing ship Caesar Kunikov was sunk by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
