German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi have already arrived in Ukraine.
The arrival of European leaders was reported by the Italian edition of Rai News on the morning of June 16. Journalists even published videos and photos from the train on which the politicians were traveling. They used the services of Ukrzaliznytsia.
Earlier, their trip was repeatedly announced, but there was no official confirmation.
The head of Ukrzaliznytsia, Alexander Kamyshin, also published a photo of politicians on the train, who confirmed the arrival of the leaders.< /p>

Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius commented on the landmark visit to Kyiv, he noted that this is a historic day that will help stop Putin.

Macron, Scholz and Draghi want to express their support in this way on the eve of the publication of the European Commission's conclusion on the status of Ukraine as a candidate member of the European Union.
European diplomats expect that the European Commission will recommend granting such a status to our state, subject to the implementation of a number of reforms. However, discussions are still ongoing in the EU about when exactly these reforms should be implemented: before or after the acquisition of candidate status.
It is this visit that allegedly will help Ukraine gather enough support to grant candidate status now.
Speaking in Romania on Wednesday, Macron said it was time for Europe to reassure Ukraine of its public ambitions.
We are at a point where we Europeans must send clear political signals to Ukraine and its people who are heroically resisting, Macron said.

Leaders have ambiguous positions regarding support for Ukraine
