Macron changed his attitude towards Putin – political strategist on terrorist attacks in Dnipropetrovsk and Yelenovka

The crimes of the Russian army influenced the attitude of French President Emmanuel Macron towards the head of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin. He did this despite the historically close relationship between Russia and France.

Before the war in Ukraine, Macron and Putin had a close working relationship for a long time. Political strategist Mikhail Sheitelman told Channel 24 about this.

The expert notes that historically France has been a friendly country for Russia. And this had an impact even at the beginning of the war. At the same time, the crimes of Putin's army changed this situation.

Macron did not call Putin for three months because he changed his attitude towards him and the Russian Federation. All because of crimes and terrorist acts. Macron at some point published his talks with Putin and there we see a working and close relationship between them. Now, probably, Macron spoke in a completely different way,” the political consultant said.

In his opinion, the importance of this call is not that the French guarantor phoned the head of the Kremlin, but that he did this for the first time in three months. The expert states that the fact that Macron recently called on Ukraine to no longer compromise with Russia was a sign of a change in his behavior.

The expert sees similar changes in relation to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

“This is the man who spoke about 'saving Putin's face', and now he says that Ukraine can use German weapons to liberate the occupied territories and restore territorial integrity. Therefore, of course, their attitude has changed and will change after such terrorist attacks as in the Dnepropetrovsk region “, Sheitelman explained.

According to him, in terms of possible support, terrorist attacks lead to new supplies of weapons and humanitarian aid.
