Polish President Andrzej Duda spoke with Emmanuel Macron, who visited Kyiv on June 16. They talked about an important issue for Ukraine.

They discussed the visit of the leaders of France, Germany, Italy and Romania to Kyiv and Ukraine's aspiration to obtain the status of a candidate for membership in the European Union.

It is worth adding that just a few minutes ago, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, emphasized that the highest body The executive branch of the EU recommends granting Ukraine candidate status for membership in the European Union.

She stressed that Ukraine has already introduced more than 70% of the rules, norms and standards of the European Union. However, there is still work to be done: it is necessary to achieve the rule of law, fight oligarchs and corruption. And also – to help ensure that fundamental human rights are respected in Ukraine.

The Commission recommends that Ukraine be given a European perspective. This, of course, provided that a number of important reforms are carried out in the country. According to the commission, Ukraine has clearly demonstrated the country's desire and the country's determination to live by European values and standards. – said Ursula Von Der Leyen.

Ukraine has already been given an action plan to be implemented in order to start accession negotiations with the European Union.

Curiously, Moldova also received a recommendation from the European Commission. But Georgia is not.

Zelensky denies that Macron, Scholz and Draghi persuaded him to negotiate with Putin

One of the authoritative German publications stated that during the visit of the leaders of France, Germany, Italy and Romania, they persuaded Vladimir Zelensky to resume negotiations with Vladimir Putin.

Representative of the President of Ukraine Serhiy Nikiforov stressed that this information is not true at all. Foreign politicians did not force Zelensky to do anything. And Ukraine itself will decide when it should continue negotiations.

Nikiforov added that foreign politicians are also interested in Ukraine resuming negotiations when the position is most advantageous for this. Therefore, they continue to provide military, economic, political and defense support.
