Sadovy told who will be helped in the rehabilitation center/Collage of 24 channels
The project of the National Rehabilitation Center “Indestructible” has been developed in Lviv. During the Russian-Ukrainian war, such an institution is necessary for many of our citizens who suffered from hostilities.
This was announced to Channel 24 by the mayor of Lvov Andrey Sadovy. He noted that the specifics of the rehabilitation center are unique.
Many of the wounded are civilians
According to Sadovoy, as we see, as a result of military operations, injuries get not only the military. In particular, many of the wounded among the civilian population are children, women, the elderly.
That is why the state faces a very big challenge. The creation of such a rehabilitation center is Lviv’s contribution to the common victory,” the head of the city said.
Rehabilitation is the basis of treatment
As Sadovyi noted, now Ukraine cooperates with a number of countries that accept our citizens for treatment and prosthetics. He stressed that later they come back and need serious support.
We must do everything very, very quickly, so that every Ukrainian and Ukrainian woman who was seriously injured understands that they will be provided with the necessary support and high-quality rehabilitation here. – said Sadovy.
The mayor also stressed that infrastructure is important. As he explained, the stage of prosthetics itself is 15%, and the rest is psychological and social rehabilitation.
According to him, for example, people who themselves have them will be involved in the production of prostheses. It is obvious that they, like no one else, can understand all the nuances.
“When a person needs prosthetics, and a colleague who has gone through this path advises and helps him, the level of trust and responsibility is much higher,” Sadovyi explained.
Ukraine ready to help
The head of Lviv added that he was amazed at how willing other countries are to help and how actively our Ukrainian companies want to join this process.
He noted that many doctors from other countries are ready to come to help Ukrainians. In particular, he stressed that many of them already exist in Ukraine, where they receive invaluable experience.
“The world has not seen such injuries for a long time. From a professional point of view, it is important for them to join the treatment and gain new experience,” added Sadovy.

Construction of a rehabilitation center in Lviv: what is known
- The project of the National Rehabilitation Center “Unbreakable” was presented in Lviv. It is noted that such an idea arose due to the large number of Ukrainians who now need prosthetics and rehabilitation as a result of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
- The head of Lviv, Andriy Sadovy, said that they plan to build such a center over the next 2 years . According to him, about 77 million euros are required for the first stage.
- German Health Minister Karl Lauterbach said that his country is ready to help establish a rehabilitation center. He also noted that already 200 doctors from the German Association of Doctors volunteered to work in Ukraine.
