Currently, several types of shutdowns are used in the Lviv region. Lvivoblenergo explained how they are being implemented.
On the air of the news telethon, Lvivoblenergo speaker Galina Petrushka said that emergency shutdowns are used in the Lviv region in addition to planned shutdowns. Channel 24 writes about this.
What shutdowns are used in the Lviv region
Another shelling by Russian invaders of energy facilities in Ukraine this week further aggravated the situation in the energy system. Last week, both planned and emergency shutdowns were used in Lviv.
Petrushka clarified that hourly shutdowns affect 75 consumers in the Lviv region, that is, these people, if there are no emergency shutdowns, are turned off according to the schedule. At the same time, the remaining 25 percent of consumers are healed up to critical infrastructure.
In what cases are emergency shutdowns used in the region
Every day, Ukrenergo sets a limit on electricity consumption in the Lviv region. If the limit is exceeded, Ukrenergo applies emergency shutdowns.
Scheduling is not possible in this case – when there is a need for an emergency shutdown, it must be carried out within 15 minutes.
