Russians are again dispelling fake news about “biological weapons” in Ukraine / Collage 24 Channel

The Russian invaders have again begun to create fake news about the alleged threat of using “biological weapons” from Ukraine. This time, Kremlin propagandists suddenly mentioned Lvov.

The corresponding absurd fake was spread by the Ministry of Defense of the aggressor country. Channel 24 reports this.

What did the occupiers come up with this time?

The head of the radiation, chemical and biological defense forces of the Russian troops, Igor Kirillov, said that the SBU and the National Police could allegedly organize provocations with “biological weapons” against the aggressor country. He groundlessly accused Ukrainian law enforcement officers of conducting relevant “trainings” in Lviv in August and September 2023. According to him, Philippa Lentzos, a member of the UK Biosafety Governing Council, and Gemma Bowsher, an employee of the Faculty of Military Studies at King’s College London, also took part in these “trainings” at the Daniil Galitsky Lviv National Medical University.

Kirillov also dragged Nikolayevshchina into this fake. The occupier stated that cases of bird flu, which “has the possibility of interspecies transition and high lethality for humans,” are allegedly being recorded in the territory of the Nikolaev region. The Russian lieutenant general said that Ukraine is allegedly taking samples in the Nikolaev region in order to accuse Russia of biosabotage, to hold the terrorist state accountable for violating convention obligations and thus strengthen anti-Russian sanctions.

Other “creative” gems of Kremlin propaganda

• Previously, the occupiers came up with a fake story about the “Ukrainian combat locusts.” It was allegedly brought from American laboratories and used in the Lugansk region.
• Before this, the Russians were spreading rumors about yet another weapon of mass destruction – “infected birds from biological laboratories.” Thus, the invaders tried to justify their atrocities, as well as to discredit Ukraine and the United States before the world.
• Let us recall that Kremlin propagandists at least twice spread a fake about the use of “combat mosquitoes” from the United States on the territory of Ukraine. The Russians came up with the idea that the Americans allegedly patented a UAV for transporting insects infected with viruses.
