In the war with Ukraine, Russia continues to lose not only manpower, but also its equipment, which is worth millions of dollars. Ukrainian soldiers landed another enemy helicopter for good.
Ukrainian soldier hit the Alligator from Igla
At the front, a reconnaissance and attack helicopter Russia Ka-52 “Alligator” was shot down. He was shot down by Lviv paratroopers.
The target was destroyed by an anti-aircraft gunner of the 80th separate air assault brigade of the Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He fired from the Igla portable anti-aircraft missile system. For the Ukrainian soldier, this is the first failed target.
The Ukrainian soldier was in no hurry to strike at the “Alligator” and paused. He managed to get into a Russian helicopter, the successful beating of which was confirmed by brothers from a neighboring position.
The head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Maxim Kozitsky noted that the cost of the downed Russian Ka-52 is $16 million.
Russia's losses in the war with Ukraine
- On the morning of June 23 at the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine traditionally updated the approximate losses of the Russian army in the war against Ukraine. In terms of aviation, Russia lost 216 planes, 183 helicopters and another 620 drones.

- On June 4, the air defense units worked fruitfully. Our defenders managed to shoot down a Su-34 fighter, a Ka-52 helicopter, drones and cruise missiles. Subsequently, it was reported that the enemy “Alligator” was shot down by soldiers of the 128th separate mountain-assault Transcarpathian brigade.
