Some airports in Ukraine may open in 2025, since there are technical possibilities for this, only a political decision is needed.
This was stated by the mayor of Lviv Andriy Sadovyi in an interview with the publication Tvoye Misto.

— Certainly, several airports will open in Ukraine this year. There are technical and other possibilities for this. There must be a political decision. Apparently, there will be one, — he emphasized.
In his opinion, if a country is on the aviation map, then it is on the world map.

Sadovoy recalled how Israel once made a political decision to open the Tel Aviv airport during the war, which was the only bridge connecting the country with the world. And then not a single plane was shot down.
— All planes of the Jewish airline have special equipment under the wings, which is used in case there is any danger of attack, etc. The world has already gone through this. We have no other option, we must survive, — summed up the mayor of Lviv.
Back in October 2024, Andriy Sadovyi said that security experts should decide whether to open or not the Lviv airport.
