According to Sadovoy, Ukraine's ambassador to the EU, Vsevolod Chentsov, received a certificate certifying that Lviv can receive the appropriate title.

I am convinced that victory will be ours, the mayor of Lviv wrote.

He added that on this occasion, he remembered February 24 – the first morning of a full-scale Russian invasion. According to him, on this day the whole of Lviv turned into a volunteer beehive.

Thousands of eyes, dozens of chats and calls. Everyone wants to help. And now, in the fourth month of military aggression, this movement did not stop for a day. Someone went to war, but a large number of people continue to work for the good of Ukraine,” Sadovyi said.

In his opinion, this status is deserved and will be a worthy assessment for everyone who does not remain indifferent.

Lviv continues to receive people

Today Lviv receives about 150 thousand temporarily resettled. At the same time, as Andrei Sadovyi noted, there are no refugees in the city. Ukrainians now live in Lviv, who fled the war and found temporary shelter in the city.

The Mayor noted that it is now possible to buy housing in Lviv, since a large number of construction projects are at the final stage.

In general, he said, the city is coping with a heavy load. For example, in Lviv, a large center for internally displaced persons was opened in the Lychakiv administration. Mostly immigrants from the East work there.

Also, the mayor noted that many Ukrainians apply for work that will have a good effect on the economy of Ukraine.

According to the mayor, today the duty of Lviv is the maximum assistance and assistance to every family that has found its refuge here. Sadovyi summed up that he was struck by the self-sacrifice of Lviv residents, because now the city is engaged in volunteering.
