The delegation was expected to consist of about 50 people in total: nominees, their family members and club employees. But the departure did not take place.

Journalists write that the fact that Real Madrid is boycotting the ceremony in full force may mean that Vinicius, Dani Carvajal, Jude Bellingham and Toni Kroos will not be awarded.

This also means that Andriy Lunin will not fly to Paris — the Ukrainian goalkeeper is nominated for the award for the best goalkeeper of the season.

Who will receive the Golden Ball

The new winner of the Golden Ball will be announced directly during the award ceremony. However, Manchester City hinted that their footballer may receive the trophy — Rodri.

Citizens have spread a video on social media with a clip of Rodri's goals throughout the season.

Also, social media has begun publishing the supposed results of the voting for the Ballon d'Or, in which the most votes were given to Rodri. While the player of the Los Blancos Vinicius is in second place.

Rodri himself has already arrived in Paris and plans to attend the Golden Ball ceremony.

Also at the event at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris it will be announced who will become the best female footballer, the best young footballer, the best coach and the best goalkeeper of the season.
