Military personnel of the People's Liberation Army of China have arrived in Belarus to take part in joint “anti-terrorist training” with Belarusians. The exercises will last until July 19.

President of the Liberal Democratic League of Ukraine NGO Artur Kharitonov said 24 Channel that previously there was no cooperation between China and Belarus in the militaristic sphere. Now Beijing is building a huge structure of an autocratic bloc.

Expanding its presence

China is actively bringing Russia into North Korea. They restored the system of collective security. Now the North Koreans can serve the purposes of the Russian army in Ukraine, and Russia has received the right to station its troops on the territory of the DPRK. Russia is also threatening the Philippines and is preparing to participate in the war for Taiwan, Kharitonov explained.

At the same time, China is expanding its presence in Eastern Europe. Previously, these were agreements and declarations, but now Belarus is integrating into BRICS (Minsk will become a member of the organization in October in Kazan). It also joined the SCO.

Immediately after Belarus joined the SCO, on July 8, joint exercises began Belarusian and the Chinese military.

Chinese troops near the border with Ukraine

Chinese military personnel were brought to the parade held on the independence day of Belarus. In his opinion, they did not leave there, but joined the military who arrived from China for exercises. Also, a military delegation arrived in Minsk from Beijing to negotiate on military education and training of Belarusian officers.

All this indicates that Minsk now reports directly to Beijing, and not Moscow. “Belarus today behaves like a direct vassal of China,” noted Arthur Kharitonov.

He added that Chinese troops are now located not only near the border with NATO countries, but also with Ukraine. The military exercises of Belarus and China take place in the Brest region – near Kyiv.

“On the day the exercises began, the Russians carried out a shelling of Kyiv, which led to terrible events. Obviously, the Chinese were watching, and this is confirmed by the fact that all attacks against Ukraine are verified by the Russians in Beijing“, – Kharitonov emphasized.
