Lukashenko manipulates the content of his conversation with Kellogg about the ceasefire – CPD

by alex

Self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that he allegedly conveyed the position of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to the United States that Russia is allegedly ready to cease fire if “the West forces Ukraine not to strike Russia.”

This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation.

Lukashenko conveyed Russia's position to the US

In this way, Lukashenko is joining the Kremlin’s propaganda campaign, the goal of which is to shift responsibility for the continuation of the war onto Ukraine, the CPD noted.

At the same time, the US President's Special Representative for Ukraine, General Keith Kellogg, denied Lukashenko's statement, stating that his words were taken out of context.

In the conversation with Lukashenko, the discussion was exclusively about a complete and unconditional ceasefire, without any promises to limit Ukraine’s actions.

Any conditions could only be considered on the condition of mirror steps from Moscow.

This manipulation of the content of the conversation indicates that Lukashenko, despite his attempts to act as a “neutral mediator,” is in fact acting as a propaganda mouthpiece for the Kremlin.

— In fact, responsibility for the war lies solely with Russia. Ukraine consistently strives for peace — Kyiv has repeatedly proposed a full and comprehensive ceasefire, but the Kremlin rejects these initiatives and continues terrorist attacks on Ukraine, — the CPD noted.

Let us recall that on Saturday, June 21, a meeting took place in Minsk between the self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and the special representative of the President of the United States Donald Trump Keith Kellogg.

After Lukashenko's meeting with Kellogg, Sergei Tikhanovsky, Ihar Losik and at least 12 other political prisoners were released in Belarus.
