In Belarus, on February 26, explosions were heard at the Machulishchi military airfield. It is known about the damage to the Russian A-50 airborne early warning and control aircraft.

Because of this, Lukashenka gathered the security forces and ordered to intensify checks at the border. Subsequently, the media reported that the Belarusian security forces were looking for a 29-year-old native of the temporarily occupied Crimea, Nikolai Shvets.

What is known about the search for a Ukrainian in Belarus

Sources of the publication said that Shvets is suspected of sabotage at the airfield in Machulishchi.

An orientation with a photo was sent to the work chats of employees of car fleets in Gomel, but they have not yet begun to hang it up. This was sent not only to them, and the doctors were informed, and state route drivers. They told me to be vigilant,” the source said.

According to the orientation, 29-year-old native of Crimea Nikolai Shvets is being sought by the Minsk District Department of Internal Affairs on suspicion of committing “an especially serious crime in the urban village of Machulishchi on February 26.”

The head of the BYPOL initiative, which does not support Lukashenka's regime, Alexander Azarov answered journalists' questions. He noted that the man whom the security forces are looking for is not connected with the explosions in Belarus.

“This face is unfamiliar to us. Who he is, I don’t know. They have a task – to identify the suspects. But God knows how he was installed, they don’t tell. .

Note! After the incident, the Belarusian security forces have already carried out a raid in Machulishchi and detained a local resident Kristina Maksimenko. She was taken into custody on the evening of 26 February.

Briefly about the explosions in Machulishchi

  • On Sunday, February 26, two explosions occurred at the military airfield in Machulishchi, 12 kilometers from Minsk. It is worth noting that it is from there that Russian MiG-31s take off, and then an air raid begins in Ukraine.
  • As a result of the explosions, one of the Russian military transport aircraft DRLS A-5 was damaged. The explosions damaged the front and center sections, avionics, and the aircraft's radar antenna.
  • It should be noted that there are only 9 such aircraft in Russia. One costs 330 million dollars.
  • Literally on the same day, Belarusian partisans took responsibility for the “cotton”. They also promised a sequel.
