Lukashenka will “arrive”: 3 theories why the dictator flies to China

The self-proclaimed president of Belarus flew to China on a three-day visit. Probably Alexander Lukashenko went there to talk about the “peace plan” in Ukraine.

So in a comment to Channel 24, international journalist Alexei Burlakov said. According to him, experts suggest that the Belarusian dictator is leaving for China in order to be a “repeater of opinions.”

“Secondly, he can fly there so that China somehow sells or gives weapons to Russia through Belarus,” he said.

Burlakov noted that he had heard the opinion that Alexander Lukashenko could be “reprimanded” in China.

That he, too, does not observe human rights there inside his country, and he will allegedly “fly” for this, ”the international journalist said.

Presenter Ekaterina Solyar noted that Lukashenka “did not fly in”, he flew there.

“And he says that there are no human rights in China. There are human rights there, everything is fine,” Aleksey Burlakov noted.

Solyar replied that something with human rights “didn't go well” in Belarus, because the death penalty was returned there, however, for treason.

Alexander Lukashenko's visit to China: what is known

  • The Belarusian dictator is leaving for China on a visit. It is scheduled from February 28 to March 2. Alexander Lukashenko said that he supposedly needs to “build friendship” with China.
  • It is unlikely that during the visit of the self-proclaimed President of Belarus to Beijing, there will be talk of improving Russian-Chinese relations. According to Radio Liberty correspondent in Belarus Valery Kalinouski, the visit will not live up to expectations.
  • Political scientist Oleg Sahakyan believes that Lukashenka was summoned to China by the head of the PRC, Xi Jinping. For the Belarusian dictator, this visit is like a demonstration that there is no isolation and that he is recognized.
