Gaidai compared Mariupol and Luhansk region/Channel 24 Collage
The head of the Luhansk OVA, Serhiy Gaidai, said that the Luhansk region is now the same outpost of Ukrainian defense as Mariupol. On the territory of the region, our soldiers are also now holding back a powerful hostile invasion.
Sergey Gaidai stressed that in the Luhansk region our troops are giving a powerful rebuff to the invaders. Despite the intensity of hostilities, Ukrainian troops liberate settlements from invaders.
Luhansk region holds back invasion
The head of the Lugansk Police Department noted that Ukrainian soldiers in the region manage to restrain the invasion of invaders and prevent them from entering the rest of Ukraine. Despite the fact that in intense battles it is possible to dismiss certain settlements, Gaidai emphasized that this is not the main goal of our troops.
The Lugansk region is the same outpost as Mariupol, because we hold back a large number of orcs on ourselves and do not let them go further. We can even locally fire 1 or 2 settlements somewhere and slowly go on the counteroffensive. What for? What we need is not a victory over some village and not to capture or return the occupied territories. We need to win the war,” Gaidai stressed.
The head of the Lugansk Police Department also stressed that thanks to the efforts of our soldiers in the Luhansk region, the soldiers in neighboring regions are expanding their flanks and preventing the invaders from encircling Ukrainian defenders.
The situation in the Luhansk region: the main thing
- The situation in the Luhansk region is complicated. The air raid has been going on since April 4.
- On the evening of May 7, infidels launched an airstrike on a school in Belogorovka, where about 90 people were hiding. At least 60 died, including two volunteers from Transcarpathia. The cynical attack of the Russians caused a negative reaction from the world community, and the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry called this shelling a repetition of the crimes of the Second World War.
- During the shelling of Shipilovo, infidels destroyed a house, under the rubble of which 11 people were trapped. Unfortunately, there is no connection with them, and it is almost impossible to sort out the rubble.
- On May 8, the Ukrainian defenders had to retreat from Popasna due to intensive shelling from the Russians, but the very next day, Sergei Gaidai reported that Popasna had and Rubizhny there is good news – our soldiers courageously hold the defense in new positions. The pontoon crossing of the Russians in Belogorovka was destroyed.
