The meeting between Dmitry Lubinets and Moskalkova will take place in a few days. The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights will talk to her about the exchange of prisoners.

The main issue that Lubinets will discuss with the Russian Ombudswoman is the return of Ukrainian defenders and defenders home. Also, the Ombudsman will separately raise the issue of the return of civilian hostages, whom Russia massively detained in the temporarily occupied territories and does not let go home.
The plans are ambitious. We do not know how the Russian side will behave. However, preliminary we receive positive signals that they are ready to consider this issue. I note that according to the Geneva Conventions, we cannot exchange civilians. Russia must let civilians go!” he stressed.
Today Ukraine returned another 50 defenders
- On January 8, Ukraine returned another 50 of its defenders from captivity: 33 officers and 17 privates and sergeants.
- Ukraine managed to return the guys from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Troop, NSU, GNSU, Navy, as well as from the MTR. Some of them were captured at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, there are defenders of Mariupol, guys from the Donetsk direction, from near Bakhmut, as well as from the Kyiv, Chernihiv, Kherson regions and other regions where the fighting lasted.
- All those released will receive medical assistance, undergo rehabilitation, and be able to restore bank cards and documents.
