At the end of May, Lithuanian TV presenter Andrius Tapinas announced a fundraiser for Bayraktar for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Already in the first day we managed to collect more than 2 million euros, in three days the collection was completely closed – the necessary 5 million were received into the accounts.

Tapinas emphasized that he agreed the acquisition of Bayraktar with the Lithuanian and Turkish defense ministries, as well as with the drone manufacturer. Calling on the Lithuanians to join, he wrote: “Let our Bayraktar rise above invincible Ukraine. Let this be the time when Lithuania and Ukraine draw their swords together.”

By the way, Tapinas is the face of the “Generate Money” program popular in Lithuania. . He is also the founder of the YouTube crowdfunding broadcaster Laisvės TV. In May, it was reported that the project had already donated 62 thousand euros to Ukraine.

In addition to Bayraktar, Lithuania decided to purchase 6 EOS C VTOL drones for Ukraine. Their cost was 990 thousand euros. Soon, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will already receive 4 aircraft, the remaining two units – in 2 months

The maximum flight range of drones is 120 km, and the speed is 107 km per hour. At the same time, EOS C VTOL are equipped with a quiet engine and are able to withstand strong gusts of wind.

Let's add that Lithuania helps Ukraine not only in the defense sector. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the country has taken in over 50,000 Ukrainian refugees. Also, the first in the EU Ukrainian Center for IDPs was opened in Vilnius.
