On November 22, Lithuania took part in the 17th meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine in the Ramstein format. It took place online.
This was reported by the Lithuanian Ministry of National Defense.
Lithuania at Ramstein announced a new concept for the coalition for demining. It stipulates that Lithuania will try to help Ukraine “both in combat and humanitarian demining.”

Vilnius expects to provide final details of the concept in December. Currently, 21 countries have expressed their readiness to take part in the demining coalition.
In addition, more than 50 Ramstein participants discussed other coalitions under development, the progress of hostilities in Ukraine, and Ukraine's pressing weapons needs.
Lithuania also announced that the total amount of its military support to Kyiv is about half a billion euros, and by the end of 2023 it will send another €40 million in military assistance.
Let us recall that the participants of the 17th meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine (Ramstein-17) discussed formation of an air defense coalition. Its goal is to provide our state with the necessary systems, especially on the eve of winter.
