The European Parliament adopted a resolution on relations with Belarus. This document condemned the actions of the regime of Alexander Lukashenko – repression and oppression of the Belarusian people. Also, the self-proclaimed president was recognized as an accomplice in Russian war crimes against Ukraine.

Actually, on Wednesday, September 13, this important resolution was adopted by the EU Parliament in Strasbourg. She received widespread support among European deputies. Lithuanian MP Petras Auštrevičius made a corresponding report.

The EU adopted a resolution on Lukashenko

For Ukraine, the adoption of this document is important because the European Union stated at the official level: at a military tribunal, when our state wins, they will judge not only Putin, but also Lukashenko, who helped him along with his henchmen.

The European Parliament strongly condemns the involvement of the Lukashenko regime in Russia's unjustified, criminal and aggressive war against Ukraine… Believes that the Lukashenko regime has become an accomplice in crimes committed by Russia, which entails responsibility for destruction and damage, the source says.

The resolution presents a complete list of crimes of the Belarusian regime, in particular:

• incitement to hatred;
• participation in Russian anti-Ukrainian propaganda;
• direct support for the Russian army;
• supply of ammunition and equipment to Russia.

There is also a section in this resolution on the abduction of more than 2,150 children from Ukraine to Belarus. Thus, the European Parliament expressed support for the investigation of the Ukrainian Office of the Prosecutor General, and also made it clear that not only Putin and Lvov-Belov deserve an arrest warrant from The Hague.

The European Parliament holds Lukashenko responsible for these war crimes, as well as Vladimir Putin and Maria Lvova-Belova, and calls on the ICC to issue a similar international arrest warrant for Lukashenko; calls on the EU Council to expand the list of persons subject to EU sanctions to include those who were involved in the forced deportation of Ukrainian children to Belarus.

Let us finally remember on this topic that the Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmitry Lubinets recently noted how many children from the occupied territories were illegally given up for adoption by Russia. Therefore, we are talking about at least 386 minors.
