During the trial at all levels, prosecutors were able to prove that between July and December 2015, the convicted man, acting together with his accomplice, systematically sought out single women over the age of 80.
Convict kills three elderly women
The perpetrators, posing as social workers, entered the homes of their victims. Once inside, they used physical violence, forcing the elderly to hand over their savings and valuables.
As a result of their brutal actions, in particular, wrapping the victims' heads and faces with adhesive tape, three women died of mechanical asphyxia. These facts were thoroughly investigated and confirmed in court.
The Supreme Court agreed with the prosecutors' arguments, finding that the sentence of life imprisonment was entirely fair and proportionate to the gravity of the crimes committed.
The convicted person is currently serving his sentence. At the same time, he continues to deny his guilt in the crime. The proceedings against his accomplice were terminated due to her death.
