Ukrainian troops have liberated the urban-type settlement of Makarov in the Kyiv region, but the Russian invaders continue to shell it daily.

Today, people cannot move along the streets of Makarov, because at any moment a mine or a shell could explode near them. in the morning, and after 200 meters the house is on fire. If you turn in the other direction, it is also on fire, – says a resident of the village.

Churches remained intact

Most of the residential buildings and shops have already been destroyed, with pieces of glass and furniture scattered around them. On the roads and gardens – huge funnels from explosions. Fortunately, two churches remained intact. “It is God, as they say, who keeps them,” say the locals.

They listen to news and updates on events on the radio.

I am I hear about Mariupol… That 90% of the buildings are no longer there. And they say that people cannot be buried… This is grief! – a resident of Makarov complains.

The dead are buried in the gardens

In the village itself, people also die under shelling right on the streets, because Russia is bombing the whole of Makarov despite being there. “The daughter of a friend was killed. She was just leaving, and there was an explosion on the bridge…” – says Makarovets.

There is no place to bury dead relatives and friends, because the cemetery, as well as the village, is under attack all the time. Therefore, residents dig graves in the gardens near the houses.

Many people are already buried in the gardens… There is nowhere to go to the cemetery, and it’s scary there,” says a resident of the village.

There is no day without explosions!
