“Lessons” are not taught: how Russian volunteers manage to keep the Kremlin on its toes for a week

Russian volunteers continue to operate in the Belgorod and Kursk regions. The Freedom of Russia Legion reported on March 18 the destruction of another enemy ammunition depot in Tetkino, Kursk region.

Former SBU officer Ivan Stupak told 24 Channel that the Freedom of Russia Legion, the Russian Volunteer Corps and the Siberian Battalion are showing significant results. At the same time, at the beginning of the operation of Russian volunteers, it seemed that it would last at least several days. However, the raid has been going on for a week.

They are fighting back without Kadyrov's men

It seems that after the last breakthrough of the border by volunteers in May 2023, Russians will learn “lessons”, pull up more resources, heavy technique. Therefore, the probability of a new volunteer raid was considered zero.

The Russians have been unable to cope with this problem for almost a week. In addition, there are significantly fewer volunteers than Russian propaganda said. There are 100 of them – a maximum of 200 fighters, and for the seventh day in a row the entire Russian security machine has not been able to overcome them, noted a former SBU employee.

At the same time, after the unsuccessful rebellion Evgeniy Prigozhin in June 2023, the Russian authorities significantly armed the National Guard. She allegedly received heavy equipment, tanks, and armored vehicles. The Russians also have a border service and FSB troops. And all this does not help them.

From this we conclude that the Russians do not have professional forces that can cope with such a raid. All such forces are involved in hostilities on the territory of Ukraine. We see how volunteers are opposed by the National Guard and conscripts. But there are no Kadyrovites in the defense of the Belgorod and Kursk regions,” Stupak noted.

At the same time, the Russians, to neutralize the volunteers , brought in heavy equipment, artillery, aircraft, from which they dropped KABs, and shot houses on their own territory from tanks. However, no results were achieved.

“The operation is now continuing. Perhaps we wanted the advance to be more significant and the volunteers were already behind Belgorod. However, the fact that the raid has been going on for a week now— this is a really serious result,” noted Ivan Stupak.
