Renowned American historian Timothy Snyder has raised over a million dollars that people have donated to buy the Shaheed Catcher.
Thanks to the collected amount, Ukraine will have more opportunities to shoot down Russian drones. After all, according to the Ministry of Digital Development, they are talking about the most modern defense technologies protecting US strategic facilities.
What is known about the fundraising organized by Snyder
The legendary historian and great friend of Ukraine Timothy Snyder has raised more than $1,268,000 for the “shahid catcher,” said Mikhail Fedorov, head of the Ministry of Digital Development.
According to him, 6 such systems are already protecting Ukraine's energy facilities from Russian attacks .
The Minister of Digital Transformation said that thanks to the collection of Timothy Snyder, even more “catchers” will be purchased. However, the minister did not say exactly what the number is.
However, Mikhail Fedorov thanked Timothy Snyder and everyone who contributed to strengthening the energy security of Ukraine.
