The Security Service counterintelligence detained two Russian agents in Donetsk Oblast. The criminals acted separately, but carried out the same tasks for the occupiers – to adjust missile and bomb strikes on Kramatorsk.
Son fights against Ukraine
It is reported that one of the traitors was a local unemployed woman who carried out orders from the FSB and was waiting for the regional center to be captured.
“To recruit this agent, Russian special services used her son, a militant of the Russian occupation groups who is fighting against Ukraine on the eastern front,” the report says.
The main task was to find reserve command posts and fortified areas of the Defense Forces in the area of the frontline city. At the same time, it transmitted to the occupiers the locations of enemy attacks and their consequences.

Author of anti-Ukrainian content
Another agent is a local resident who worked for Russian military intelligence (better known as the GRU). She came to the attention of the aggressor as the author of anti-Ukrainian content in one of the pro-Kremlin groups on Odnoklassniki.
There, the administrator of an enemy Internet community, a career employee of the Russian GRU, approached her and offered cooperation in exchange for money. On his instructions, the traitor walked around the frontline city, where she recorded the bases of Ukrainian troops and marked their geolocations on Google maps.
Faces life imprisonment with confiscation
The SBU reported that investigators have now informed both detainees of their suspicion of committing crimes under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- Part 2 of Article 111 (high treason committed under martial law);
- Parts 1, 2 of Art. 436-2 (justification, recognition of the legality, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).
The offenders are in custody without bail. They face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
