Russia will supply gas to Transnistria as humanitarian aid.
The head of the unrecognized Transnistria Vadim Krasnoselsky announced this at a briefing, quoted by Russian propaganda media.

According to Krasnoselsky, Russian gas will be supplied in the volume that is needed for the population, thermal power engineering and industrial enterprises, namely Transnistria.
Krasnoselsky said that he discussed the resumption of gas supplies with the Russian Ministry of Energy, expressing hope that blue fuel will soon go to Transnistria.
At the same time, he noted that there are no details on the supplies of Russian gas yet.
Since January 1, 2025, Ukraine stopped the transit of Russian gas through its territory to EU countries and the unrecognized Transnistria. A serious energy crisis began there, and power outages were introduced.
The Moldovan State District Power Plant, located in Transnistria, operated on free Russian gas. However, it has already started burning coal reserves that will only last until the end of January 2025.
