“We continue and will continue to support Ukraine in the future – both this year and next year we will provide Ukraine with military assistance in the amount of 0.25% of the gross domestic product,” Spruds emphasized.

The Latvian Ministry of Defence noted that the transfer of armoured personnel carriers will not affect the defence and operational capabilities of the Latvian armed forces.

The Patria 6×6 APCs were created as part of a joint program between Finland, Latvia, Sweden and Germany, and are manufactured in Finland and Latvia.

Let us recall that the countries participating in the international drone coalition plan to allocate 2.75 billion euros in support of Ukraine this year.

At the international drone coalition summit held in Riga, Latvian Defence Minister Andris Spruds announced Turkey and Belgium's intentions to join the coalition.
