The network showed a video of one of the occupiers rejoicing at the destruction in Avdiivka. He is surprised that the Ukrainians had televisions at home and are already planning to send the loot to their homes.

The Russian also says that he himself wanted to go to fight in Avdeevka – now it’s clear, his goal was to rob the devastated city. After all, tens of thousands of apartments were left without owners.

Occupier in Avdievka

The network showed a Russian looter who rejoices at the destruction and capture of Avdiivka, because now he can calmly rob the houses of Ukrainians. He recorded a video, probably to his wife, where he boasted that he had arrived in the destroyed city.

The occupier spoke enthusiastically about Avdiivka, periodically mocking and calling the ruins “attractions” of the city. He himself admits that the Russian army destroyed the populated area – in the words of the occupiers, “the lads smashed it.” However, what adds even more cynicism is that the invader boasts that he will now be able to unceremoniously loot the apartments of Ukrainians. Here in these houses there is everything. TVs, what not! “We just need some kind of freight train to take us out of here,” says the occupier.

This shows the true goal of the Russian occupiers who are going to Ukraine – they are ready to sacrifice their lives for the sake of to steal another TV from Avdievka's apartment.

What is happening in the Avdeevsky direction

  • As noted by British intelligence, the number of weekly ground attacks by Russia decreased by 13% since the end of February 2024. The advance of the occupiers has since slowed down. At the same time, they write that the situation is likely to remain difficult in the coming weeks, as Russia continues to restore its strength.
  • The Institute for the Study of War predicts that the Russian command is seeking continue to attempt an offensive near Avdiivka in the near and medium term. The Russians tried to attack before – they tried to seize as much land as possible until the Ukrainian Armed Forces built a cohesive and difficult-to-break-through line of defense.
